Claudio Filippini

Claudio Filippini was born in Castenedolo (BS) in 1953, began his pictorial activity in 1976, the year of his first solo exhibition, which was followed by many others.

 

The artist, witness of realism, offers us, thanks to his gaze, still images of the reality that surrounds him, playing with suspense and surprise, as if he wanted to suggest something to us without stating it explicitly, thus giving us the opportunity to discover and interpret his art in an autonomous way. Working on external places, often in urban contexts, but also in domestic internal environments, Filippini freezes the image and reproduces it in painting, in the act of possessing reality and making it his own.

 

Over the years he has held numerous personal and collective exhibitions in private galleries and public spaces in Italy and abroad.
