Arianna Matta

Digital Neoromantic. This is how Arianna Matta (Rome, 1979) defines herself, an artist who, through the traditional technique of painting, does not aim to imitate the perfection of digital images but restores dignity to "glitches"—those computer errors that create defects in images, making them disturbing to the eye. The use of vibrant colors and intense brushstrokes brings to life a dense vegetation, with lush plants and majestic blossoms that are not found in open spaces, but are kept within greenhouses, imaginary or real, made of glass. These places immerse us in mysterious atmospheres and spaces, where the greenhouses become containers for the artist's soul, offering a glimpse into her inner world.

With her works, Matta transcends the boundaries of traditional painting, making it interact with new digital technologies and creating a fully immersive artistic experience.

After an initial classical education, Arianna Matta began working in the field of computer science while simultaneously developing her passion for art. This journey led her to earn a degree in DAMS and a master's degree in aesthetic and museum communication. Since 2009, she has attended free courses at the Rome University of Fine Arts, focusing on graphic design and digital animation, before dedicating herself exclusively to painting in 2012.

Her works have been exhibited in solo and group shows, both in Italy and abroad, and are part of some of the most prestigious public and private collections.
